Chikankari Votive

In the lanes of Lucknow, women have stitched white on white for centuries, working delicate floral and paisley motifs in thread so fine they seem to disappear into the fabric until the light catches them. This is Chikankari.

The Chikankari Votive carries this tradition into silverplate, with flowing florals and paisley rendered in white enamel across a scalloped plate, the way embroidery wraps fine mulmul. Light a tealight in the centre and the pattern surfaces with the flame.
