Phulkari Votives

Stitched across generations, phulkari shawls are given at weddings, births, and harvests. The Phulkari Votive translates that language into enamel on silverplate: geometric floral motifs in pink and white on a deep blue ground, repeating the way the original stitch repeats across cloth. Light a tealight in the silver well and the blue deepens around the flame.
